611 INDIGENT ELEMENTARY STUDENTS RECEIVE BAGS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES FROM LGU CATARMAN

𝘼π™ͺπ™œπ™ͺ𝙨𝙩 7, 2026/π˜Ύπ™–π™©π™–π™§π™’π™–π™£ 𝙉. π™Žπ™–π™’π™–π™§-Through an ordinance spearheaded by Municipal Councilor Jennifer Salutan, "Municipal Ordinance No. 2023/193/-28, An Ordinance Providing Free School Supplies to Indigent Students in the Public Elementary School in the Municipality of Catarman", which was passed by the Sangguniang Bayan of Catarman Northern Samar , led by Municipal Vice Mayor Francisco Rosales Jr. and supported by SB members and Municipal Mayor Dianne Rosales.

Earlier today, August 7, 2026, the said school supplies, consisting of 1 school bag, 10 notebooks, 2 pads of paper, 4 ballpens/pencils, 1 ruler, and 1 eraser, were distributed to the first cluster of Barangays.

A total of 611 recipients:

Barangay Guba Elementary School - 70

Barangay Bocsol Elementary School - 74

Barangay Salvacion Elementary School - 73

Barangay New Rizal Elementary School - 213

Barangay Cal-Igang Elementary School - 181

The purpose of this program is to help and alleviate the current difficulties.

Municipal Councilor Jennifer Salutan personally handed over the said school supplies to the students, accompanied by her husband, Barangay Kagawad Dindo Arillo, who strongly supports this LGU initiative as a barangay official, and the presence of teachers, Brgy. Officials, and parents.
